The Diamond Head Branch 277 (aka Squamish Legion), located at 40194
Glenalder Place. We are over 160 members strong and we have a passion for volunteering and raising
funds for veterans and our community.
One of our biggest fund raisers is our World Famous Meat Draw starting
at 3:00pm every Saturday. All funds raised are donated to the Squamish Community groups and veterans
support.
Our volunteers organize the Annual Novemeber 11th Remembrance Day Service,
the Squamish Days Loggers Sports Bed Races and the RCL Poster and Literary Contest.
Our lounge was established in 2003. We offer an 80 seat cozy,
comfortable lounge, complete with kitchen facilities and bar service. If you’re looking for a place to
hold a function, Birthdays, Anniversaries, Weddings, Family Reunions Celebration of Life or Funerals
etc. for a small gathering at a reasonable rate then look no further.
The Squamish Remembrance Day Ceremony has played a major role in
Remembrance since 1931. Every year, at the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month,
we gather at the cenotaph located at Stan Clarke Park. The tradition of Remembrance will continue, and
Canada’s Fallen will not be forgotten. The Royal Canadian Legion Diamond Head Branch 277 encourages
all members of the community to observe a moment of silence on November 11, to mark the sacrifice of
the many who have fallen in the service of their country, and to cknowledge the courage of those who
still serve.
We proudly support our Veterans, their family members and supporters within
the community. The Diamond Head Legion is committed to supporting Veterans education and transition.
Our Legion connects, builds relationships and shares with like-minded Veteran’s organizations.
